ORIGINAL ARTWORK

An original artwork is a unique piece of hand drawn, painted or mixed media artwork, made and signed by Femke Colaris. Mediums typically include found papers, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, or pencil. The handwork and therefore the natural nuances make the artwork a unique piece of art.

 

AUTHENTICITY

To guarantee you are collecting an authentic work of art, each artwork is personally signed by Femke Colaris and each original piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, including the edition series information. 

 

ARE YOU OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS?

Yes, we are open to all! If there is an original work that you love that is no longer available for sale, please contact us and we can discuss a special commission for a new original work. We'll also gladly help facilitate the payment processing and shipping to bring the work into your home. Just send us an email.

  

WHAT IS A LIMITED EDITION PRINT?

A limited edition is a fixed number of identical prints. The artist directly oversees production and sets the edition size. Unfortunately, when an edition is sold out, it is no longer available. A limited edition print has more value than an open edition print because the availability and scarcity of each work is controlled.

 

WHAT IS AN OPEN EDITION PRINT?

Open edition prints may be endlessly reproduced. An open edition print is often priced lower and valued lower than a limited edition print, because there is an unlimited amount of availability.  

ARTWORK SIZES

All original artworks and all limited art prints, are available in the sizes offered on our website. It's not possible to customize a limited edition print in another size. The dimensions and details of each artwork are presented in each product file. But, we are open for commissions! So if you would like to have an original artwork in another size, please contact us with your suggestion.

  

HOW ARE YOUR PRINTS MADE?

All the details of each original work or print are listed on the individual pages for each artwork. For our limited edition prints, we use digital processes such as digital inkjet and c-prints. All prints are printed on high quality, acid free, 100% cotton Fine Art paper, designed and printed in Germany.

 

SOLD OUT - WILL IT BE RESTOCKED?

When pieces are sold out, they are no longer available for sale and will not be restocked in the same dimensions as they already have been sold.

 

DO YOU OFFER FRAMING?

Yes, we offer professional framing, but only for original artworks. Click here for more information about framing.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes we do! To allow us to serve you at the best, please complete the shipping form upon checkout and try to be as detailed as possible, including a phone number, which is always helpful for international orders. PACKAGING

We try our best to reuse as much as possible when we pack your orders. Wherever we can, we reuse or use recyclable packaging - giving old boxes, bubble wrap and wrapping papers a longer life. Sometimes this means the packaging is a little bit mismatched, but we try to ensure your order always arrives in the best condition and we hope you appreciate our effort to reduce further waste.

All original artworks are protected with a flat wooden board, silk and bubble paper and sent in a cardboard box. The large dimension of the package does not permit a direct delivery in a regular mailbox. If you're absent during the shipping, the carrier should leave you a note permitting to pick up the package at your local postal services.

All fine art prints are carefully protected in silk paper and rolled in a cardboard tube. Once the artwork arrives at your home, you need to carefully unroll and frame it, so it can get back to it’s original, flat shape.

 

WHICH PAYMENT FORMS DO YOU OFFER?

We offer different kind of payment methods:

Stripe - By choosing Stripe as your payment method, you'll be able to pay with Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard and American Express, Discover and Apple Pay.

Paypal - By choosing Paypal as your payment method, you'll be able to pay with Credit Card, Debit Card, or Bank transfer. As a Paypal 'Guest' you can pay without creating a Paypal account. 

All prices are mentioned in Euro, all taxes are included.
Once your order has been placed you will receive an order confirmation by email.

WHAT CURRENCY DO YOU USE IN OUR SHOP?

Everything is priced in the EURO. There is no automatic currency conversion. If you are buying outside of the European Union, your purchase will be converted by your bank or credit card.

 

WHAT ABOUT TAXES & DUTIES ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS?

If you order from a country outside the EU, and the order arrives in your country, local guidelines apply and your order may be subject to country taxes and local duties. These taxes and duties are not included in your purchase price and are the responsibility of the costumer. Please note that this could involve some delay of the consignment, as the goods are retained by the customs. However, if applicable, we will support with any communication of information with customs as necessary. Please refer to your local postal service for rates of expected duties and taxes.

 

IS IT POSSIBLE TO RETURN AN ORDER?

Yes, it is! We are dedicated to provide you with accurate descriptions and visuals of the artwork featured on our website. However, if the artwork is not what you've expected, please contact us by email so we know which item will be on it's way back to us. MY PACKAGE IS LOST, WHAT DO I DO?

If your package is lost in transit, please send us an email as soon as possible and we will try our best to resolve the issue.  If the item had not been marked delivered and hasn't arrived within 45 days, we will replace your order free of charge (Germany and EU only). For international orders, please contact your local postal service for information on how to file a claim as we are unable to replace lost packages from international orders. Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen items once declared 'Delivered' by the delivery service.
